Angela spent 20 years in academic research, teaching, and writing before transitioning to a career in the data centre industry.
Having previously worked with national and international stakeholders from the public, commercial, and voluntary sectors – covering research topics including risk, health and social care, and sustainability and food – Angela moved into data centre operations in 2017. She brings to Exuvi8 a diverse range of transferable skills, combining creativity with an ability to make complex ideas accessible to a range of audiences. As well as developing our brand and corporate identity, she also produces all our documentation, which includes writing client reports, particularly those relating to our feasibility studies.
With an eye for method and detail and having completed the Corporate Risk Essentials (IOSH) and Site Management Safety Training Scheme (CITB) certifications, Angela is also responsible for developing and implementing our management systems, including those relating to risk and health and safety.
Angela is authentic in her commitment to ESG. In her previous position, she championed the company’s approach to recruiting women and young people into the industry and was a finalist for the Infrastructure Mason’s 2019 Diversity & Inclusion Champion Award. As a STEM Ambassador, she was involved in outreach work in secondary schools which both raised awareness of the data centre industry, as well as foregrounding the environmental impact of digital infrastructure.
